these days

Ila and Mei had their last classes on Friday and will be using some time in the next few weeks to prepare for their final exams.  Freya goes back to school again tomorrow with guidelines and restrictions in place.  Her days will be a little shorter and she won't have certain activities like cooking. A lot of Dean's school days are spent outside and it will probably be the same for Freya.

Malls and all retail stores opened last Monday as part of phase 2 of the reopening of Denmark.
Libraries, churches, restaurants and cafes will open tomorrow as well as outdoor sporting areas and zoos where visitors stay in their vehicles (safari parks).

Rus flies back to Canada on Tuesday, June 2.

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks:

took Hartesløjfen trail to a rope ferry across Stalleup Lake just outside of Kolding
found this little guy on the trail to the lake

got together with Dean's best friend Melody and her family for a walk and a picnic at a musical playground
Freya and Dean sticking their feet in Kolding Å, the river that runs through Kolding. It was cold.

Dean's first time playing Dungeons & Dragons.
Good thing we had so many kids so they always have enough players for a game...

taking a rest from walking around Slotssøen (the castle lake)

Mei still remembers how to climb a tree

Koldinghus

Koldinghus courtyard and gift shop open (just not the museum yet)

Søgarden, an apartment building close to Koldinghus where my mom lived for a few years as a young woman
