Our friends at the MCC resource center were going to Cuauhtemoc for a few days so we hitched a ride. Cuauhtemoc is a three hour drive from Casas and is the largest Mennonite community in the world.
Pictures: Tarahumara girl with a baby selling crafts outside the cathedral, the cathedral, a roof built around trees that we thought was pretty cool, Liam and Mei in the hallway of our hotel room, Ila and Mei trying on sombreros, Ila with a paleta (ice cream popsicle) in her hand.
These paletas are so good, especially the milk-based ones. They are not good everywhere but this place in Cuauhtemoc was really yummy (it was a drive-thru place too)
