the park

Every town we have been in so far in mexico has had a central park with a gezebo. They call these plazas. While in Cuauhtemoc this past weekend we spent almost 4 hours at the downtown park, chasing birds, watching people, and listening to a blind man sing and play guitar between breaks of warming up his hands. It was a cold day.
Pictures: Liam waiting patiently to catch a pigeon with his coat(never did catch one), Ila keeping warm in dad's coat, Mei admiring the stained glass inside the gazebo, and guitar player and shoe-shine station (shoe-shining a common site in every corner of every plaza)

Simon earned extra points--he caught two mice this week! yeah! (let's not think about the fact that there were TWO MICE in my house in ONE WEEK to even be FOUND.)
